Jake Whittenberg is a Multi-Media News Anchor in Seattle, WA. 

He's the morning Anchor on KING 5 Mornings, and has been with the NBC affiliate since 2009. Jake is having the time of his life, telling all kinds of stories from the Pacific Northwest and across the country.

From Seattle to Cuba and so many places in between, telling stories about amazing people is his passion.

In Seattle, Jake is among the pioneers of digital coverage and YouTube content. His VLOG's have millions of views from around the world. And today, he has a growing number of followers on Tik Tok where he creates news briefs every week.

Before starting at KING, Jake was a reporter/anchor at WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, Ohio, and KTVQ in Billings, Montana.

He considers himself a proud Montanan, but was born in Southern Illinois to the parents of a newspaper publisher and reporter. Journalism and storytelling is in his blood!

"Some of my fondest memories as a kid were in the newsroom with dad during election night coverage. I love the buzz of a newsroom!"

Jake is a proud graduate from Montana State University with a degree in Media Theatre Arts.

He's won 12 regional Emmy Awards, Associated Press Broadcaster of the Year and several other writing and reporting accolades. He also shares two prestigious Edward R. Murrow Awards.

At the young age of 23, Whittenberg was appointed by Governor Brian Schweitzer to the Montana Film and Television advisory council. A position he shared with the likes of Peter Fonda and Margot Kidder.

When he's not covering the news, he's hosting community events, golf tournaments and finding all kinds of ways to stay fit through exercise.

"Our family motto is 'Work hard, play hard!'. You've got to earn it."

Jake loves golfing, cycling, fly-fishing and spending time with his wife, Tara, and two children, Lula and Ollie.
